Wellsite Geologist - Geoscience - Oil & Gas - Offshore Oil - Georgetown, Guyana
Our client, a leading energy company in Guyana, needed an Operations/Wellsite Geologist III to support complex offshore drilling projects. The role required deep expertise in geological monitoring, wellsite supervision, and horizontal well placement, as well as experience with advanced technologies like LWD, wireline, and coring operations, alongside mentoring junior staff and ensuring high health and safety standards.
We sourced a candidate with over 20 years of offshore oil and gas experience, strong skills in geologic data integration, mudlogging, and pressure surveillance, and current certifications for HUET, Sea Survival, and H2S. Their leadership improved real-time decision-making, ensured data quality, and enhanced field development planning, enabling the client to maximise reservoir potential while maintaining safety and operational excellence.
