Hubs in Nouakchott and Kampala bring Airswift’s total number of African offices to eight
Manchester, UK, 2nd October 2017: Mauritania’s first global workforce solutions hub for the energy industry opens in Nouakchott today. By opening the office, Airswift, the global workforce solutions provider for the energy, process and infrastructure sectors, becomes the first such provider with offices in both Nouakchott and Dakar, Senegal.
The Mauritanian office begins operations on the same day as the launch of Airswift’s Ugandan office in Kampala – bringing the firm’s total number of African offices to eight. The move comes in response to client demand at a time of rapid strategic growth for Airswift’s African operations as it cements its position as the continent’s number one provider of global workforce solutions.
Richard Clay, Business Development Director, Africa, says: “We’re on a mission to ensure that both our customers and contractors have a global workforce solutions partner they can trust, wherever they are. These new offices are a major step forward in our endeavour to match the right people to the right roles – safely, compliantly and efficiently – anywhere in Africa.
“And this is important. Our ability to offer a consistent service means that our contractors have access to the best possible job opportunities in the safest and most secure conditions, that our customers can operate in line with local regulations and customs and – crucially – that fast-growing economies have access to the whole range of talent needed to undertake critical energy, mining and infrastructure projects. We’re very proud of the role we play in helping that to happen.”
Ford Garrard, Senior VP (Europe and Africa) at Airswift, adds: “We’re living in a tremendously exciting time for the African energy industry, with huge potential for growth all across the region. Not least in Mauritania, which is seeing major new oil developments –both on-and-offshore. We’re delighted at this opportunity to grow as we support our clients wherever the need arises.”
Airswift operates from more than 50 locations worldwide, including African offices in Angola, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania and a joint venture in Equatorial Guinea.
