Background

The first and largest of its kind, Prelude FLNG is a floating liquefied natural gas project vessel located in the Browse Basin off the coast of Australia.

Challenge

The project required labour supply services throughout the duration of the project, as well as full mobilisation support of workforces.

Airswift Solution

Airswift appointed a regional Account Manager to coordinate and deliver recruitment and mobilisation services to the project, including:

  • Recruitment of contingent labour across Malaysia and South Korea
  • Support of global immigration, visa and work permit processing, sponsorship for personnel, local employment contracts and benefits management, and local payroll and income taxes

Results

  • Provided 50 contractors in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Geoje, South Korea
  • Provided consulting services for relocation costs, tax liabilities support, cost analysis on pay rates, potential cost impact from local labour laws and thorough advise on complex immigration processes and procedures
